This was another porcelain mug I made quite thin. It looked perfectly round after the bisque fire and wasn't until after the glaze fire that this funky warp shape resulted.
When clay warps in its wet state which can happen often when wiring the pot off the bat, you can try to shaping it back to symmetrical. However, clay has "memory" and often after the last fire, the warp comes back. This happens even more significantly with porcelain clay.
I'm actually loving the funky non-symmetrical shape this turned out to have and thinking about making a series of funky mugs like this.
