A friend asked me to make a set of teacups inspired by a teacup she saw (last photo). I hadn't made this shape before, but it seemed like a fun project to try! I started out by testing out different amounts of clay to figure out how much I should use to get the right size. Then I practiced throwing the shape to make multiple clones 8]
She let me have freedom in choosing the glaze design based on some ideas about color profiles she liked. This was definitely a fun project and I love the glaze results.
Firing: Reduction and oxidation high fire
Clay: Bmix
