Celadon glaze in reduction creates a transparent gray aqua color. Sometimes blushes of pink will kiss the blue, creating an ombre of shades from the gray aqua to pink to a deeper velvet pink shade like seen here. The theory is that the blush may be caused by copper glazes flaring off of other nearby pottery.
