about mug 54

I initially fired this mug in oxidation. The glaze came out very unexciting and static, the top portion was more purple and bottom was light blue. Then I re-fired this mug in reduction knowing that reduction usually results in more depth and dynamic colors. My prediction was correct!

I love how this glaze combo looks like shades of the ocean breaking. I'll have to try this glaze combo more =)

Firing: Reduction high fire

Clay: KGBS
