I wasn't planning to carve into this mug but I'm so glad I did! The mug was a bit thicker than I liked so I decided to carve a design since the thickness made it safe to do so. I love the way the glaze shows up darker along the carving =)
This is one of my favorite glaze combos: sea green crossing over sandy's green. It creates an iridescent and rainbow-like combination of colors.
Firing: Reduction high fire
